Discontinuous urban growth by not considering natural and artificial barriers can cause physical fragmentation in the territory and disruptions in the city’s social fabric on different scales. This fragmentation becomes evident when the city is shaped by elements, pieces, or sectors that still need to achieve urban integration. The study looks into the historical formation process and its current situation to identify the site for the architectural proposal.
